Am lost here. Sure they were at the right for so long?

Err, time flies when you're having fun?

There was no intentional change regarding layouts or anything of the sort, only regular updates to the forum platform (one of the reasons I haven't gotten to resurrecting the green theme ( ) is precisely because they can make updates a bit more tricky, since it can break compatibility with new features).

Don't know if you use GoDaddy, but this is a cautionary tale:

I didn't immediately want to believe that the website host itself would be injecting a JavaScript script into my website without my consent! Turned out that's exactly what GoDaddy was doing and they justified it as collecting metrics to improve performance.

Problems affecting thread replies (and generally any action involving text input) are solved. Root cause still under investigation, but seems related to a dodgy PHP upgrade - not sure yet :-k

Apologies for the inconvenience - I have no idea how long the error lasted - the monitoring service I use only checks the front page, and thus didn't trigger any alarms, since things were working fine on that front.

Two small updates:
  • There is now a cookie notice, to comply with the law
  • The "Contact admin" form has been disabled, due to the amount of spam it generated. Means of communication not dependent on the forum are "forum at nforcers dot org" email, and @nforcers on Twitter.

Is anyone else finding that the front page doesn't refresh with the latest topics by default? I managed to get it to refresh by forcing it with a Ctrl-F5.

Hmmm, I just thought that no one was posting :-k

Will look into that, seems like a caching issue.
