Greetings!
Cooler Master is tired of telling parents their kids aren’t on drugs
Goodbye, dedicated paste-spreading tool—and hello, wide-tipped applicator.

Early this morning, Cooler Master tweeted a picture of its new spade-tipped thermal compound applicators and captioned it "we didn't change the shape of the syringe to make applying thermal paste a lot easier, but because we're getting tired of having to explain to parents that their kid isn't using drugs."

It took the Ars staff a few minutes of grappling with Poe's Law to figure out if they were serious or not. On the one hand, how many parents would really mistake thermal compound for a medical syringe?

I wouldn't doubt that somewhere a journalist wrote a news article about a new drug among geek kids in town: Coolermaster :hoghappy:

Not sure about 'Coolermaster', but 'Arctic Silver' definitely sounds like a drug. :)

I'm a longtime user of the single blob in the middle technique, so that applicator looks unnecessary.

Anyhow, there are less than two weeks before Brexit becomes a reality. I hope we're going to close this SMAP thread on January 31st?

Any ideas for a post-brexit SMAP title?

- never mind a blue passport, how about some SMAP?
- 350 million pounds a week for SMAP
- land of hope and SMAP
