Probably, but I'm just doubting Epic went into this expecting to get every single thing they wanted.
It was almost extortion, they probably expected Apple to settle in order not to get antitrust attention it's way.

Settle to who? They've already openly said they weren't doing this for themselves, they were just the only ones with the balls and the resources to stand up.

Personally I finally sold off my Apple stuff and couldn't care less what happens, but I'm still happy someone is standing up to the phone market.
Good ol USA, where you worry more about being killed by the police than anyone else...but that could happen too.

Oh please... of course they were doing it for themselves, they'd already backed themselves into a corner by then so playing the Robin Hood card was convenient.

They would've made far more money not doing it at all.

Epic-backed expert says Apple’s app store profit is as high as 78 percent
Apple disputes the estimate
By Kim Lyons May 1, 2021, 3:43pm EDT

An expert witness for Epic Games testified that Apple’s App Store had operating margins above 70 percent in fiscal years 2018 and 2019, new court documents show. Ned Barnes testified that information from Apple’s Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis group show the App Store had a 77.8 percent operating margin in 2019, and 74.9 percent in 2018.

The figures are close to Barnes’ calculations of the App Store’s profits, he testified, and “also refute criticisms of my report proffered by certain Apple expert witnesses that it is not possible to calculate reliably or usefully the operating margins of the App Store.” Barnes also testified that Apple has been tracking its App Store profits for several years.
