Seems Ghost Recon Breakpoint runs at a higher resolution on Xbox Series than PS5.

As an aside, so much of the UI on this game is atrocious. For example, the map doesn't give you any way to filter by type of location, mission, or even a highlight for your main base. It is fun for co-op shenanigans though.

It's a BC title, PS5 is generally going to be locked to the max PS4 Pro res unless it's a proper update.

From a consumers perspective, that's of little relevance. As a live-service game, someone looking to upgrade from previous-gen Xbox will have a better experience than someone on the PS4.

For sure, though MS have definitely invested more effort in BC, it's one area that Sony definitely need to improve on in general.

It will get there... As we watched in that video rendering comparison, Sony's experience in A/V tends to result in a higher quality output in the end.

Microsoft announced last September that its new Xbox Series X and S consoles would be getting in-game support for the premium Dolby Vision high dynamic range format at some point in 2021. Now it’s been confirmed that the company is already making good on that promise.

Xbox Series X and S owners in the consoles’ Alpha testing ring have reported that following the latest update (numbered 2104) sent to their consoles, some Series S/X games have been playing in Dolby Vision on compatible TVs.
I'll have to put my AV kit back together when I get the machine. I haven't decided what to do for my PC audio yet when I stop using the receiver on it.
