I saw a while after I posted. It’s still weird, and so is Sony still not supporting 1440p (though I expected that.)
Good ol USA, where you worry more about being killed by the police than anyone else...but that could happen too.

Looks like the PS5 started manufacturing earlier according to Spencer
https://www.theverge.com/2020/11/24/216 ... -interview
"Both the Xbox Series X and Series S are difficult to find and purchase right now, and that’s a situation that’s likely to last for months yet. “We started manufacturing late summer,” reveals Spencer. “We were a little bit later than the competition, because we were waiting for some specific AMD technology in our chip. We were a little bit behind where they were, where Sony was, in terms of building units.”

Last week, an anonymous hacker reached out to Motherboard claiming to be able to discover the email behind anybody's Xbox gamertag. By default email addresses linked to gamertags are private.

Looks like Valhallas problems are fixed tomorrow.

All this s*** will be sorted before I even get the console, heh. Not that I even want Dirt 5 or Valhalla anyway :p

I like racing games well enough but I rarely enjoy the part where you're working your way up from crappy cars to the good s*** so it's hard to get into them anymore.

You just described all games in the Dirt series. They look and handle about the same :hoghappy:

Yeah, that's why you find a series you really like and stick to it, usually. I used to love Burnout/Need for Speed until Criterion split from EA.

Now I dig Forza Horizons for the most part as they have awesome stunt and challenge stuff but they're kind of...weird? I don't really dig the car upgrade system being just pointless numbers.

If racing games can stick to 60fps on consoles from now on it'll be a huge help too.

Greetings!
PlayStation 2 games play quite well on the Xbox Series S
The real question is: Will Sony allow it now that the cat is out of the bag?

https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2021/01/ ... ne-access/
Xbox users will soon have to pay at least $10/month for the baseline Xbox Live Gold subscription needed for online play on Xbox consoles. That's a significant increase from the recent floor of $5/month for an annual subscription.
[edit] heh, I guess they got a lot of pushback: https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2021/01/22/ ... d-pricing/
[UPDATED on 1/22/2021 at 8:52 PM PT]

We messed up today and you were right to let us know. Connecting and playing with friends is a vital part of gaming and we failed to meet the expectations of players who count on it every day. As a result, we have decided not to change Xbox Live Gold pricing.
