Greetings!

I had noticed a constant 3-4% CPU use, didnt check temperatures, though.

And if they're blocking any traffic EGS uses making it send more data than usual, if any of this is even happening.
Yeah I'm sure they just made it all up to annoy you.

Well, I could see it being true if they didn't have any display drivers installed (or they didn't properly install) and had one of the game videos running.

And had traffic blocked so it kept resending the request, as has been true with many telemetry systems.

So sure, if there's some extremely specific scenario where this happened I'm sure it could've.

But in general it's a load of dung.

People being ridiculous doesn't annoy me. People reposting ridiculous claims on the other hand...

Not sure if related (and I haven't used it in a while, so maybe things are better now), but the Mac client has always been atrociously slow, even just scrolling around the store would be extremely sluggish - felt exactly like it was hogging the CPU :-k
No sig due to budget cuts.

I'd still have a hard time saying 4-5% is "high" CPU usage or there's any situation where that would cause your processor temps to go up 20C.

Did make me more wary about leaving clients open at any rate.

When compared to Steams 0-1%, it is high.
Will have to check the temperature.
