Epic Games Launcher makes AMD Ryzen CPUs run hotter even without any game running:
It is also reported that EGL sends 14x as much data as Steam and NVIDIA Experience while working in the background. The EpicWebHelper executable connects to the following server:

So now I've tested it and I'm wondering what magical Ryzen processors are being used for this endeavor/hit piece.

And if they're blocking any traffic EGS uses making it send more data than usual, if any of this is even happening.
Good ol USA, where you worry more about being killed by the police than anyone else...but that could happen too.
