The Oldest House is a place of power, not just in Remedy's fiction, but in the sense there are all kinds of interesting historical energies radiating from its architectural forms. We feel brutalism, as it connects to both real world examples we pass by daily, and to a myriad of science fiction books and films we've all read and watched. In terms of concrete influences, Remedy approached the project by casting the net wide. Films such as A Clockwork Orange and The Shape of Water, both of which depict oppressive government agencies that trade in corruption and conspiracy, were used as reference.

Enjoying this game quite a bit. Took a break to finish up some other games on my new vidcard, but it's on the shortlist.

Some boss fights can be a bit over the top until you figure out the cheesiest way to do it, but I guess that's somewhat normal for boss fights.

Note: possible spoiler in the article about the potential subject of one of those expansions.

First off, a free content drop coming later this year is a Photo Mode and a new game mode, dubbed Expeditions, which will shore-up endgame content for players who want to get engrossed, without end, in the gameplay of Control. There will also be two paid expansions for the game.

Control Is Filled With Clues About Alan Wake's Fate

Lots of spoilers, if you care.

But neat.

I think I just finished the game. Right on. That's like three in a week! (Mass Effect: Andromeda and Just Cause 4 also.)

I still have to take down that moldy b******. And will undoubtedly get the DLC.

The only negative I can think of to this game overall is the lack of HDR. The lighting without it just looks really poor in some areas.

Done with all the side quests, unless there're any hidden ones I haven't figured out yet.

Waiting on some DLC :)
