I heard the checkpointing needs some work, and that Remedy are looking to address that in a patch?

I guess I haven't noticed. It seems like it does it fine when you need it.
Good ol USA, where you worry more about being killed by the police than anyone else...but that could happen too.

Greetings!
Epic seems to have paid $10.5 million for Control’s PC exclusivity
Money likely came as advance against earnings ahead of Epic Games Store sales.

Man just finished the DLC finally. Woot!

This game is still weird and great. I'll have to poke around a bit more with the Expeditions they added earlier.

Ultimate Edition coming to Steam on August 27th for US$39

https://505games.com/introducing-contro ... e-edition/

Console buyers of the Ultimate Edition will get a free upgrade to Xbox Series X and PS 5 versions.

There are also a bunch of QoL additions:

What’s more, Control players will also receive a free update in August. Expect an all-new upgrade for Launch, called Multi-Launch, as well as additional checkpoints that have been added to more challenging missions, as well as additional quality of life features. (Stay tuned for more info!) August’s update also brings about additional usability options in Assist Mode, which can be enabled or disabled separately from each other in Control’s options menu.

$40 for the game you already own. Glad I've got the PC ver and played through it already.

Well I'm glad their exclusivity deal ended, it might be worth a purchase now it's on Steam.
