Fallout 76 Has Built in Speed Hacks Because the Physics Engine Is Tied to Its Framerate

According to PC beta testers for the game Fallout 76, Bethesda has tied the physics engine of the multiplayer game to its framerate. By simply editing a .ini file or pointing the camera at the ground, players are able to attack and run at bionic man speeds. Bethesda promises to have a fix for the issue at launch. At least they extended the beta to find more bugs.

Fallout 76's 54GB Day-One Patch Is Bigger than the Actual Game

Fallout 76 on the PlayStation 4 will require nearly 100GB of hard drive space: while the core game is 45GB, players will have to download a day-one patch that comes in at 54GB. The patch, which is bigger than the actual game, will presumably fix many issues discovered during the beta, including a broken hunger gauge and the sound of random gunshots.

Fallout 76 players launched so many nukes at once that they crashed a server
The game apparently can’t handle too much action

Fallout 76 strips away most of the things I love about Bethesda's Fallout games and replaces them with human-controlled avatars. But while other players are doing the best they can with what they've got, this is a game world that spectacularly fails them - on pretty much every level.

TL:DR, the engine is a pile of junk:

Fallout 76 No Longer Has Its Frame Rate Tied to the Physics Engine

DSO Gaming is reporting that Fallout 76 no longer has its frame rate tied to the physics engine after the latest patch. Now PC gamers can run the game at whatever frame rate that their systems are capable of.
