Depends on how it sells I guess, the hardware is decent (GPU not so much, but the CPU is ARM's current fastest), and I imagine a Shield v2 might appear once the Denver SoC is ready.
It seems Denver will be ready in 2015, there will be Logan next year with a Kepler derived GPU. A Shield with a Logan core could be very interesting...

For me as well, it's just not worth the shelf space, even if you don't consider the price. Maybe with Kepler and games that take advantage of it... If you think it will have to fight the x1 and ps4 for most gamers budgets by the fourth quarter, IMHO it doesn't have much of a chance

For me that is the whole point, it is too expensive to be a impulse purchase, and when you start to consider it seriously there are better things to do with your money. I would buy a 760 with 4GB, for example, it will probably be my next HW purchase.

Don't worry, though, MS will probably do a $99 or something fire sale of Windows RT tablets soon :)

Somehow I doubt it.
They had to eat millions in losses for the RTs not sold, it is a fire sale or burying them along ET cartridges

They can just lower the prices below what they should be sold for without firesales. There's no need to pull an HP here heh.
The Pro just got cheaper...

People are undecided if there will be a new take on the RT. With better hardware, better price, and Office+Outlook it could work, especially for corporate customers. What do you think?

AMD has to do it fast and decisively, before the next Atom iteration gets to be a viable competitor.
