I reckon the R600 will be out first before the G80, the R600 is loosely based on the Xenos in the Xbox 360 (except the eDRAM and a few odd's and sod's) so it'll be pretty much done bar the tape out.

Well Conroe is seriously in my future as it seems Woodcrest can beat Opteron's clock per clock in 64 bit - no where near as much though in 32 bit :P

From the looks of it with the insane power consumption the stock cooling will not be getting any quieter... I may have to "contract" Krips to help me setup WCing on my next rig :)

Bring on the FX5800/X1900 Cooler! Even at 65nm the heat output will just be sick...

I would gradly give up a large chunk of buffer ram for some Xenos on-die memory, given the visuals on the XBox360.

You can just imagine the price tag. 8-O
1Ghz core, 64 unified pipes, DDR4 and 10MB cache = muchos dineros

Greetings!

"ATI is not hiding the fact its R600 does Shader Model 4.0 and is fully DirectX 10 compatible. R600 will be a faster version of the redesigned Xbox 360 chip and will end up with more Shaders, more pipelines, faster memory and a faster clock. It won't have any on-die memory as this is too expensive and too complicated for such a chip."
